Red Cross Standard First Aid Class

Blended Standard First Aid: 8 hours online learning, 7-7.5 hours class teaching time

Comprehensive two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

Instructor: Mud Creek Medics Instructor for Practical Module and Red Cross First Aid Instructor for Online Theory Module

Completion Criteria: Ability to comprehend and successfully demonstrate all required skills, including critical steps; 100% attendance and participation; 75% min. passing grade on a written, closed book knowledge evaluation; and adherence to the Fundamental Principles.

Certification: 3-year certification in Standard First Aid, CPR Level A or C, and AED

 

Standard First Aid – Recertification

Duration: Standard First Aid: 6.5–7.5 hours; includes CPR Level A or C and AED; adheres to local legislation

Pre-Requisite:  Must provide a copy of a valid Permanent Standard First Aid & CPR certificate issued in the province of Alberta. Expired certifications are not accepted. Temporary certificates will not be accepted. Please contact the franchise that issued your certificate if you have lost your permanent certificate.

STEP 1 – PURCHASE Class Slot

Select the Type of Class you wish to enroll in. Select an available Weds Class date to attend. Select how many will be attending.  Add to Cart. Then, checkout. There, list attendees by Full Name with Emails in the Notes box so we can enroll them into online portion, next.

Repeat if you wish to enroll others into a different class.

STEP 2 – WAIT for Notification that Red Cross Training Account Setup Complete

We will email you to confirm the list of attendees you entered. Once confirmed, we will then setup a Red Cross website account for each. Then we will notify you via email that they are setup along with the link and login credentials for each.

STEP 3 – LOGIN to Red Cross website

Each attendee will use the login credentials we email to you to login and complete the Theory portion of their class with Red Cross.

STEP 4 – ATTEND Mud Creek Training Facility on the selected Weds.

Each attendee will then drive to our training facility and attend the Practical portion of the class selected.
