Description:
This course helps learners understand how stress, loss, trauma, and grief affect individuals. Additionally, it emphasizes the importance of self-care and personal protection when offering support. Participants are also introduced to the Red Cross Look, Listen, Link, Live model, which promotes emotional and psychological resilience. Furthermore, the course uses case-based learning and incorporates the latest international research to strengthen practical skills.

Duration:

  • In-class: 12 hours
  • Blended: 45–90 minutes online + 7 hours in-class

Pre-Requisite:
Completion of the PFA – Self-Care online course is required for the blended option.
Recommended age: 16.

Audience:
This course is suitable for youth, workplaces, and professional responders, and can be adapted to different group needs.

Instructor:
Taught by a certified Psychological First Aid Instructor.

Prerequisites:

  • Age 16+ (recommended)
  • Psychological First Aid – Self-Care online course (required for blended format)

Completion Requirements:

  • Participation in 100% of the in-class portion
  • Completion of the PFA – Self-Care online course (for blended delivery)

Certification:
Learners receive a 3-year Psychological First Aid certification upon successful completion.

STEP 1 – PURCHASE Requested Class Slot

Select an available class date to attend. Select how many will be attending. Add to Cart. Review Cart. Got to Checkout. There, list attendees by Full Name with Phone & Emails in the List all Attendees text box so we can enroll them into the class roster.

STEP 2 – WAIT for Email Confirmation and Follow up Emails

Once we have received your Request Order, we will contact you through email to make arrangements and to finalize dates & details.

STEP 3 – ATTEND Mud Creek Training Facility on the selected date for class.

Each attendee will then drive to our training facility and attend the class.
